From the meeting between Seletti, an Italian design company, and Toiletpaper, the magazine of images only by Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari, an unusual and exceptional collection for the table and objects for the home with a decidedly grotesque and ironic taste is born. Seletti Wears Toiletpaper was an immediate success, and it could not be otherwise, not only in traditional design environments, but also among fans of contemporary art and photography, already followers of the magazine and its extravagant creators. A success due to its unique style, applicable to a wide range of affordable products. As Cattelan himself states, “.. Toiletpaper is not simply a photographic image but a style, a sort of TP virus that infects the objects that surround us ..”, a Pop style that has already traveled around the world, Dal Moma Museum in New York at the Palais De Tokio in Paris up to The Corner in London. The collection includes table accessories such as cups, plates, glasses, bowls, tablecloths, and objects such as bags, umbrellas, tables, mirrors, carpets, and lamps decorated with a series of images taken from Toiletpaper magazine, repeated with a decorative motif: the plunger, a prancing horse, severed fingers (already on display on the billboard of the High Line in Manhattan) and a pulp interpretation of the famous “I love you”. And, again, a fish stuffed with precious stones and a table full of “unexpected” guests. In short, nothing to do with grandma’s classic porcelain. The materials chosen are perfectly in line with the pop spirit of the magazine and refer to memories of the past, as Maurizio Cattelan himself states: “Like the images of Toiletpaper, the collection created with Seletti has a vintage charm, cups and plates made of tin. they look like they came out of the cupboard of a 1950s kitchen, the waxed tablecloths from the drawers of a hamlet tavern “
