It looks soft, yet it is glass. The optical illusion of VENINI’s Monofiori from 1970 is in its name: Balloton, the unique process that recreates the matelassé effect on the surface. The work is handmade, blown into the characteristic metal mold and finished in the thin neck with a hot-applied colored thread, which varies in color.
